What I've been spending all my knife money on.
My new bike. I always wanted a Whizzer but couldn't afford one. So I built my own.
It's got a 2hp 2stroke motor and does 31mph.

You don't APPEAR do have done anything wrong but that's all I can say.... I've gone out of my depth before trying to help someone with a FOTKI problem... you SHOULD be posting the link under the picture in your folder .... if you select "properties" from the pic itself and try to post that it won't work and you'll just get that little box with a cross in it.mypetelvis wrote:Well that didn't go through. What a beautiful bike MPE - it really is stunning, my wife saw it and asks will you build her one in red! I like the black one as is.
Is this something you would be riding around on back in the day?
I know that in the UK you would have to have a liscence and insurance to ride that bike on the street, Anyway, very nice indeed.

I think I'll keep my FXR for cross-country rides, but this'd be excellent for 'round town. Did you record any notes, specs, drawings, etc. when building?

They are really not that hard to build. The motor is a Chinese import. In true Chinese fashion, it is a clone of a Dutch bicycle motor from the 40's called a Monark. It's now called a Pico Wing-Ding, but everyone who imports them, gives it a different name. They come in a kit that includes the motor, a tank, throttle, and all the necessary hardware to motorize a bicycle. The hardware that came with it was really cheap. I replaced the tank with a genuine Whizzer piece, and basically everything else except the motor and chain. The bike I built from swapmeet and ebay parts. Of course I took mine apart, gave it a port and polish then shaved the head .020. That and the gutted muffler give it a little extra power. I can make it do a pretty good burnout (if I'm not sitting on the bike):D

I rode it to a bike show at the grand opening of yet another local chopper shop. It was pretty funny. My bicycle sitting next to all these $25,000 billet barges, and everyone asking me the questions.
