Anyone out there?

Do you want to talk about your beautiful country, family, or dog? Would you like to say where you went on holiday or how you arranged the garden? Are you willing to tell us you girlfriend left you for a(nother) loser? Do you have ANY non knife-related topic you want to discuss? This is the place!

Anyone out there?

Post by sammy the blade »

This is the first day I have not seen a post in all the years I have been a member here. It's not Christmas, what's up with that?

I’m here. I haven’t received any emails from TB too. I was wondering if any one was home.

I'm here . . .intermittently.

my energy is spent doing therapy with visiting nurses.
I am so beat after my leg treatments,
I just sleep. . . .and drop my computers.
and break them.

I have camera straps on them.
but I also wear air masks and oxygen.
which tangle. . .
and in the middle of the night when I wake up.
and want to "put away" my computer LapTop.
( which is me gently setting the LapTop along side my bed.)
My old fingers slip. and I drop the computer.

Which is explaining my web absence recently.

I got 5 computers and none work. . . .
If I go off line . . nobody panic.
My health is not in any great peril at the moment.

1.
My big CAD workstation windows XP is not online,
and downstairs where i can't access without a person help me walk.
Draws great. . . can't surf online, virus proof for clients.
2.
My touchscreen HP17 2020 has child nanny stuff that S L O W S. . . I T. . . . D O W N .
and it's battery is mostly gone. . . It's just annoying for everything to "time out" before engaging.
3.
My new HP17 2022 has a busted screen . . .horizontal static when hinge bends. . . .
Just freakin happed on Nov 6th . . . .pisses me off. . . . 8 months old.
4.
My old HP17 2014 has half the screen dead. . . . the right side stays black
in an emergency. . it can email. . .
5.
This computer is a HP15 from 2008. . . without a battery. . . only plug in power.
which is nice, the computer never gets hot.
But the hinge is broken, so the laptop is clear post-office mailing Tape wrapped
to keep the screen from falling too far open, . . .
And it's a small screen.

I should get the computers to a repair show.
But the temptation to by a $400 computer on Amazon is very seductive.
