I parted ways with him when he began mainlining Cheez-Whiz and snorting finely-grated Parmesan. I heard that he finally began smoking Gorgonzola until his eyes would bulge. There were rumors that he held up a Chuck-e-Cheese for all the Mozzarella, Monterey Jack, and Provolone he could
cart away.

I finally lost track of him at the local shipyards.

We had a tiny mouse in our machine shop that we called our " Shop Steward "
we fed him sunflower seeds and what-not. He got fat and slow.
One day he didn't show up for work. . . . we figured a Hawk got him.

At the Meadows Horse race Track, there were mice everywhere.
These mice were brave and fast, and could leap to the top of 4 bales of hay/straw. About 6 feet.

I can't recall seeing a rat. I guess they are too easy to trap. or eat too much food.
Mice can subsist on slimmer food sources.
