The song "So Afraid of the Russians" is quite old.
J.J.Cale was a co-founder of "the Velvet Underground" with Lou Reed,
the band that Andy Warhol had as a "house band" at "The Factory" in New York City.

My brother met J.J.Cale and Lou Reed, when he provided artwork for an Art Show / Album Premier
along with Martin Warhola (Andy Warhol's nephew) at "The Metropole" nightclub in Pittsburgh in 1993..
Reed and Cale were having a press release event for their new album "Songs for Drella"
My brother has be a Fan of Cale and Reed, and has done a small amount of related .artwork
