Bad hacker!

Do you want to talk about your beautiful country, family, or dog? Would you like to say where you went on holiday or how you arranged the garden? Are you willing to tell us you girlfriend left you for a(nother) loser? Do you have ANY non knife-related topic you want to discuss? This is the place!

Hi Bill,
If you’re positive about this person’s identity I think it would be wise to let everyone on both forms know who this person is and perhaps this person should be banned from both forms.

I’ve been getting the same thing… Notifications of attempted password resets on the forums and FB .. any chance Terry could track the attempts back to that same IP address ?

There is no way to see an ip of someone not registered or logged in. They would just be shown as a "guest" down below where it says Who is online. No way to know who the guests are.

And most of these forums don't notify the admin or mods for password changes or attempts.

Please use a strong password that can't be easily guessed.

It is sad that this person is spending so much time being vindictive.

Can it be possible that this entire forum has been "hacked"? Down at the bottom of the home page, under "Who's Online":

Most users ever online was 1105 on Sun Jan 19, 2020 12:48 am

...Can this be accurate or part of these issues? There could have actually been that many users on this forum at that time in the morning? Or, am I misunderstanding what that means?

I think users can be people that may include people that aren't members, could come from anywhere so the time could be different for many users, who knows.

I have noticed numbers like that for years on different forums. No way in my opinion are they anywhere close to being accurate. Unless there are more robotic crawlers/data miners than the usual, Bing, Google etc.

Arthas has been manually activating accounts the last couple months. That's why the spam has been almost eliminated. Thank goodness!

That stuff was getting bad. This a knife forum, not a diet forum. I didn't mind the porn though, to bad there weren't any midget's.

Mr. Sammy,

Actually, this forum is off topic, so you may express yourself as you please. We get the gist however. Haven't studied midget porn, but I did make a smart-ass remark a couple years ago when the bosses wife let me borrow her cell phone for a bid opening in a far away place where my phone wouldn't work. Last second sub bids are critical to write in at the last possible moment. When she handed me the phone, I stood there thumbing through the apps, and blurted out, "Gay midget porn!" which was met with chuckles and snickers from our office staff, yet her face was beet red. A few days later, I was given my own brand new company phone...

Best regards,

Bonz
