I have RETURNED!!!! The Update

Do you want to talk about your beautiful country, family, or dog? Would you like to say where you went on holiday or how you arranged the garden? Are you willing to tell us you girlfriend left you for a(nother) loser? Do you have ANY non knife-related topic you want to discuss? This is the place!

I have RETURNED!!!! The Update

Post by kugr » Sun Feb 02, 2020 4:54 am

After a long hiatus (read- work, added more hobbies, forgot I was a member). The house is done (read- not fully painted, interior/exterior, no landscaping). The shop/garage (20ftx20ft with 10ft ceiling) is mostly finished (need to run electricity, insulate, and drywall) (ran out of money). Got busier at my job (doing 15+ inspections a week/driving 700+ miles a week).
I sadly haven't been able to work on my knives... so my skill update is a F+.
I got into 3d printing.... GREATEST THING EVER!!!!! (I have 7 printers...(4 for parts repair) I go overboard if you haven't noticed).
I have some new blades to show. Budgeting for new knives.... I'm not good at that....

Anywho, I'm back! Glad to see (hear) from you all again!

Dang, nice to hear from you. Some of us were bummed when you disappeared. I for one was really hoping we could get another knife worker around here.

And forget those other hobbies. Concentrate on the knives. The world already has enough stamp collectors, or whatever else you were doing.

HAHAHAHA, I still am HIGHLY motivated to repair and make knives.... it's funding the proper tools that is hard... I have now added a couple of drill presses, 3-4 buffers ( bought from an antiques shop, haven't tested/cleaned them), my 1x30 harbor freight sander is nice.... but just not right... Recently a friend of the family passed, he was a custom maker John Chase, I'm hoping to help out and take the workshop contents (don't judge).

I got into the 3d printing to see if I can design and print replacement scales.... BWAHAHAHAHA (evil laugh).

Hi Clark, I am writing you regarding the memorial knife for Chris Edwards. Please send me your shipping address, your email address, and your cell phone number (for texting) ASAP. The knives are almost here. I do have to send them to Bill DeShivs for engraving. But I need to put your information into my shipping app, and I need time to do that. So, PLEASE PM me with this private information (I will keep it that way). THANKS!! :D
