Sooo, has anyone else done this?!

Do you want to talk about your beautiful country, family, or dog? Would you like to say where you went on holiday or how you arranged the garden? Are you willing to tell us you girlfriend left you for a(nother) loser? Do you have ANY non knife-related topic you want to discuss? This is the place!

Sooo, has anyone else done this?!

So you wake up, just start the coffee, hear a ding... uh oh, you've been outbid... not on my watch... pick up the phone, tap the notification... completely oblivious to the fact you aren't on the website, but the horrible ebay app... go to raise your bid... yes, $75.00... start to type... 75.00 confirm... are you sure you want to confirm your bid for $7500.00... yes...... oh shit

LMAO! Not exactly that Clark, but I HAVE woke up to a knife sale notification on my phone and made the purchase before my eyes even had a chance to fully focus! lol. Let's hope the bids on yours aren't quite jacked up to $7,500...lol

Luckily, the total came out to be 257.53... I had a balance in paypal of 257.90... I don't think I will be anywhere near ebay before I've been awake for a few hours... man I really hope this lot is worth it... I need to restock on my pocket knives to resell... really don't want to start selling my autos...

If I make a mistake or accidently bid on something, I just contact the person and tell them , and apologise.

I've had Seller's Remorse and Buyer's Remorse, but this may fall under Bidder's Remorse, which could result in disaster if you happen to win the auction. I'd just have to hope to be outbid.

I’ve come close to accidentally over bidding, but unlike my writing I double checked before clicking submit. I did accidentally buy a knife on eBay. I meant to put it on my watch list. I immediately contacted the sell and he was very understanding.

I did that once on SD. Ended up paying a lot more for a Corsican vendetta knife than I planned but I love that knife now !

I really did want the lot... there were a couple knives that intrigued me... Of course, the only way to quell my curiosity was to get it... It also never even occured to me to request a bid cancellation...haha. I've had all those remorses, mostly when I buy something "important" (new clothes, car repairs, etc) never for a new gun or knife... lol. An old vendetta is on my hope to find list... (its under the sub category of: I really hope this person doesn't know what/value this knife is, and the I hope no one sees this... haha. Once I get the package, I'll post pics. Y'all will understand my curiosity then.

Ahh, now THIS is a whole new topic lol. Can't count the times, at the end of an auction, that I've actually laughed at myself for thinking/hoping this. Then, there's the flip side: "Why is nobody else bidding on this? Is it more junk than I thought?" lol
