Definately put me down for -1- dagger. I'll arrange an e-payment with you once you post a price, since we already have a very rough Idea of the $$$ ballpark. As you're aware, I'll be offline for a couple of days following minor surgery, so I wanted to make sure not to miss out on getting my preference in.

Cheers!

I'd ask for more but if the run really is just 30 pieces, I won't be greedy

It’s ok with me: John/MD and the ASPCA. After I posted my suggestion of $10 I thought maybe five would be more acceptable to more people. I’d rather see more people participate and maybe even possibly collect more money for the ASPCA. I’m going to edit my post.
May I request a dagger blade? I’ll be on the look out for tomorrow’s post about cost.
Thanks again for all your hard work with this project,
John

(September 18, 2018: Just had a conversation with Sara...they will not take small orders. Minimum 200 knives. No can do. Back to the drawing board)

Let's put our heads together! I am open to suggestions...I'm not giving up!!!

Will Frank sell you the knives without engraving? If he has the time Bill D might do that for a fair price.

Or is it the special order on the red dot and n/s bolsters that is the problem?

It is the QUANTITY of knives that is the problem. She won't accept an order for less than 200 knives. It's completely unreasonable, imho...

She says that they are backed up with orders through the end of November, and can't accept such a small order... I am going to be gone for half the day, but back this evening. Maybe we can order through Folgore /Bernie?? Or, AGA Campolin? I'm open to ALL ideas, and will pursue this until the COWS COME HOME!!

I think you guys are going to have a hard time getting these knives with Nickel silver and red dots. Does anyone even offer NS bolsters on a swivel bolster knife?

I understand Frank will not build a swivel bolster knife with NS tops. That material is too soft and would wear prematurely which is why SS is used.

Moreover, a NS swiveling bolster is a new part. Doubtful he would go to the trouble of either buying tooling to produce it or placing an order with a supplier to make these. Such an order would have to be a lot more than 30 or even 200.

Why not just buy knives as close to what you want from his inventory and get them engraved over here?

All of Walt's most recent runs have been N/S swiveling bolsters by Frank, he's definitely got them on hand / has the tooling... I guess my question is who on earth is making huge orders through him if Walt's run is finished and hitting shelves now? Perhaps 3knives is restocking itself? Almost all Frank's is gone from there.

Armando Beltrame is another idea, anybody know how to contact him for custom runs? does he even do custom runs?
Knee-deep in the hoopla...
