Re: Like winter, BUT!!!!!
Christmas Eve was in the 40's and sunny, took the bike for a nice ride.
Spent the day with my girlfriend, sorting and going through boxes.
Made a mediocre meal for the folks,
Christmas Day , spent the day with my Sophia and it was strange- We went to the downtown Springfield square and walked around.
The sights were lonely but a beautiful tree in the center of the square.
My holiday expectations were low but this was an incredible day.
Almost no one was around, no Christmas music just me and my dog.
It was what I asked for and it worked out perfectly.
Miracles do happen,God works in mysterious ways, my wishes came true.

I makes me happy to hear you had a Christmas as you said, " ...it worked out perfectly.

Our Christmas day was awesome as you said, "Miracles do happen..."

Re: Like winter, BUT!!!!!
Thanks John, I don't have any of my own pics but I found some online.
Park Central Square is the old downtown part of Springfield, it was getting run down in the mid 70's and they made it nicer than ever.
Lots of the old original building were completely overhauled but kept their original looks.
Including the Herr's Department Store- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heer's
It's now high-end lofts.
I have some great memories of going to Heer's for school clothes as a kid and it had the classic department store them with each floor being it's own thing like women's clothing, men's clothing, kids, sporting goods etc and they had candy and popcorn shops, restaurants, stairs, elevators and escalators.
It seemed so "big city" to me when I was young.
The Park Central Square has signs that says it is the birthplace of Route 66
Back around 74' or so my brother and cousin poured a bottle of dish soap in the fountain
Oh yeah these guys are from here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v31wwyteRqo
