My bad of course, but sincerely appreciate it even though I only have a slight idea of how much effort this takes.Viking45 wrote:Let's not forget Sammy made this happen...I just milked it out for a yearFurcs wrote:Yeah, thanks to Dave, Bill, and all involved!
Thank you very much, Mr. sammy the blade!

At 7:10, the postman rang once. He delivered two packages. As we had guests and it was just before dinner, I delayed opening the one from Dave until just now. I love my camo Lightning. Nice and sharp, functions flawlessly. I am very happy to have this as a memento of a terrific guy. Thanks to all who made this possible.
Re: Jerry Knife Status
My knife also arrived yesterday and could not be more pleased and grateful how this turned out. I am a big Lighting fan to begin with, but that it belonged to Mr JerrBear makes it especially meaningful, of course, and I certainly feel privileged to now have the honor of being the caretaker of it.
Thanks again to everyone who made this happen. This one was special for sure, and I appreciate the effort from all very much.
Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Got mine today, nice job Bill! A little paint missing but that tells me Jerry handeled it some. Hope I don't rub off the engraving firing it but it belonged to my pal Jerr and that's all that matters to me!

Re: Jerry Knife Status
Well I got mine today and could mot be more pleased. I got number 10 which is the one that got engraved twice. I can read it on the handle but the blade engraving is way better. I also got my lucky number 13 which hits open harder than any of the others do. Heres a couple of pics.

Re: Jerry Knife Status
I appreciate everyone's patience through this thing.
As for the knives most of them really hit hard compared to the one Jerry sent me a few years back.
Freddie's #13, Pete's #2 and Markco's tan "O" really stand out as super fast, but it seemed like the entire batch was much faster than my original.
If everyone is ok with it we can un-sticky these Jerry Knife posts and let them go into the history books or leave them them up, either way is fine by me.
I'll let you all decide.
I grew to care a great deal for my friend Jerry during my years here at Talk Blade. He was a wise man and the world was a better place with him in it.
His memory will always be a part of my life.
