new leverletto project

Post by j.a.c. »

started working on another leverletto kit.
This time I'm using some crackled mammoth ivory for scales.
my camera decided to work for a change so here's a couple of pics of the roughed in work so far
still got lots of shaping and sanding to do , and most likely the finger guards are coming off .
getting the time to work on it isn't easy ,but I hope to finish it up sometime this week.

at some point in time I hope to replace the kit blade with a damascas ,I think it would go well with it.

Mr. J.A.C.
Those are some way to cool scales. I sure wouldn't mind haveing a LeverLetto like that. Beautiful!

I look forward to seeing that when you get it finished! Looks like it would make a great pass around knife! Fat chance right!

Texasmad , being the first one in ivory I think I'm gonna hold onto it.
doing another as a passaround is a possibility .

I'm heading out in the morning for a few days , I'll get back to you on the idea.
