Thanks chaps. So it's an Edge Co, knife, really? Not that means too much, I just don't remember it in the catalogs or anything (I was too busy drooling over the "real" autos as a squirt). It has to be the knockoff of the "Rapid" but c'mon, it's the "ROLL X", baby - BLING BLING!
...The Roll X says JAPAN on the "back" side of the blade (in very small letters, not on the tang, where it reads 440 stainless), if that helps. The Rapid, from what I saw on ebay, was made in Italy... but I can't open it as "fast as lightening" like the description reads... maybe it's like a butterfly knife practice thing . You can also see that it only has one "Mickey ear", as Natcherly pointed out, and it appears it wasn't broken off, it was made that way.
The Roll-X was Japanese. Sold by Sarco. Edge Co. may have sold them too, but Jim Sargent had them made.
Rapids were Italian. Some had 2 guards, others one.

That was just information I was given by a guy in the knife industry over in Maniago. I can't guarantee its accuracy (I should have mentioned that in my previous post).
No, I'm not happy to see you, that's my 12cm "Red Rose" in my pocket!
