The first I have is a bit bigger with the two ears....I have a bunch of the Sarco Rollx ones in horn and white micarta, and I like the style of them all....

I have just bought my first one of these Rapid knives - I was into knife collecting for years - then got out of it - then sold a few collections as I changed continent/country - etc...

Just joined this site today and thought I would share pics of my latest purchase and say hi to all :)

John.

PS Can't wait to get my hands on it - this is a totally new kind of knife for me and to be honest one I am thinking of more in terms of using than just having it on ''display'' or something...

PS The guy I bought from seems to be quite an expert on these and on Italian switchblades in general - and from him and a few other sources online I've been able to find out a few things - that there were maybe 4 different styles of these that the Italians made (some with a ''split ball'' and some with a solid etc) and apparently the company was Rosa Victoria & Co. that made them - starting some time after the auto ban in the USA in 1958 - and that these were made some time around 1958 and into the early 60s...

This is about all I have been able to find out so far. I know the only marking on the blade is ''rostfrei'' not sure if that is in script or block letters - will know more when the knife gets here - but that is the only marking there is - no ''Rapid'' on the bolsters or anything else. Does anyone else have the same sort of knife and know more about its origins? Many thanks in advance.

The stag handles look great. They look like they aged very well. Good luck
