11" Flatguard Flush Button Dagger

Post by mr_edge »

Just finished this one so I thought I'd share a bunch of pics. Solid handmade 2-piece nickel silver flat guard front bolsters, solid handmade nickel silver rear bolsters. Nickel silver full cut liners, button and pins. Dark horn scales. Dagger blade and backspring stolen from an 11” AB knife. Button is wide and flush to make a “safer” open mechanism.

Stunning work as always mr_edge! Now this is where out seemingly parallel collections diverge. I can't claim to be the artisian you are, so I have nothing in the "made by" or "customized by" jimd category in my collection :(

That is magnificent. And to call the scales "Dark Horn" is doing them a great injustice. Wish all my dark horn looked that good...

Mr. Edge, congratulations on a truly beautiful and kickass knife. When I first saw the pics of how the bolsters were coming along, I knew you were making something special, but it came out looking even past that. I think the button is awesome, and I really like how it's flush to act as an inanimate safety. The lines and curves are very nice. I love the rounded scales, and they have gorgeous color and patterns. I'd score the knife in the high 9's from what these pictures tell. How does it function?

Give yourself a 'Pat' on the back for that one. :)

Thanks again guys...very kind of you.
Mr. Auto Matt X...The knife functions great. Nice snap, tight all around, and feels quite heavy actually. I does lean just a hair to the right when open, but not too noticeable.
