Yeah you made a small lapping table! We've used the same principle in the shipyard to lap a gate to a valve flat on both sides rather than machine it. works great too if you have a steady base for it to rest on.
Give us this day our daily lead.

I finished my massaro today.
I tried to glue the broken scale ,but wasn't happy with it .
Ended up replacing it.
once again the pics are poor do to a fixed focus camera from wally world.

The scales are jet black , picked bone.

I like that! You may have told us where you got the picked bone but can you please tell me again? I'd actually like to build one pretty much the same if it's ok with you. Kinda looks like a 712, or 715 but sleeker.

Mr. Edge.
the mother of pearl company has the best selection.
I bought alot from her till she screed up one of my orders.
texas knife also has some , as do most places that handle scale material.

depending on your choice of flat or ones with a radius you should be able to find pretty much any style od pick and color.
black is the hardest to find. these i dyed mtself.
here's a link to m.o.p. (just don't mention my name  )

Hi Mr. J.A.C.,
Beautiful work there my friend. I wish the pictures were a little clearer it would do your work even more justice! I like the look even a little fuzzy! :D :D Thank you for posting the site as well on where to get the picked bone scales, I added it to my favorites. I always like to find new places for materials!
