Pearly knife

Post by A.M.N »

Engraving of the handle and the sheet of the knife for both faces; with rich incrustations of mother-of-pearl.
A greeting

Hmmm, words of respects for your works, somehow that's a gross understatement, but superlatives fail at the moment. I like, very much. Lessons in humility every time I see something new from you.

Sure you don't need a gopher? Not a small desert rodent, but go-fer/go-for; a lackey who does menial tasks just to be around the master craftsman and learn a thing or two....

That's gold you're working with there, isn't it?

If anybody would know where I can get nickel silver that actually looks silver, rather than like brass, you would be the guy, I think. Can you give me a source? I'd be willing to import it if necessary, the knife supply shops and metal suppliers here in the U.S. are letting me down big time. Maybe I should follow your lead, forget the n/s and go right to sterling silver....

The knife, and your work is beautiful!
Tom- I can't understand the problem with nickel silver. I use the commonly available 18% stuff, and you can't tell it from any other.

Thanks for the words.

Friend Tom

In Spain can find alpaca without difficulty; but I am surprised that in his country it has some difficulty. Think that the freightages him will get dearer the metal. I send to him a direction and he can see the linkage. They give quality alpaca and I buy it to this company.

Thank you friend.
