11 inch Flat Grinds

Post by LD57 »

From my accumulation of knives.
Two 11 inch flat grinds. One in basic black plastic, the other in not-very-well matched stag.
Both open fast and lock up tight. 👍
The stag is a bit of a banana, and has a slightly wider blade. Also a very proud button that will actually move the safety off if pressed hard enough.
I don’t know which is older; I’ve had the stag about 40 years, and the plastic maybe 20-30 (?).
I prefer the flat grind blades over the bayo style; hard to mess up the grind lines if there are no lines.
Nothing special here, just your basic meat-and-potatoes Italian switchblades, but still pretty cool.

Very nice, and no need to criticize the stag, I like it.

First, the stag is nice! What is the tang stamp on the black plastic? I see stainless but not what is above it. The stag is older from what I see. I personally like the flat blades the best myself some what for looks, but more so for use as a cutting edge. I actually like to have a useful knife and the flat blades meet that need the best....

The stag is nice, I’m just kinda picky about stag scales. 🤔
The black knife is stamped “Italy Stainless.”
Here is another pic of the stag. You can see daylight between the scale and the bottom of the button.
I don’t know any way to fix, short of removing the scale.
