AGA Campolin Slimline

Post by jerryk25 »

Well. . . I broke down and sent for this,
after I told myself not to buy any more expensive knives.
This was not that much to pay, but inch for inch it costs a lot.
I'm now "waiting for the mail" . . .
"Sending Away" for something was the big fun back in the late 50's and then 60's.

I LOVE the grommet for a Lanyard. and it's nice and small for public use.
I despise pocket clips . . .

(what the heck. . . who turned on autofill autocorrect typing . . . )
(it's bad enough I hunt and peck, now I got nonsense inserts I didn't type)

BUT. . ANYWAYS. . . .

I've gotta Gripe. . with the use of the word "Slimline" . . It's not hardly slim.
I've seen Doctors Pillbusters that were slimmer.

"Slim" would be the same width blade except on a 9 inch knife.
It's not an Elephant Toenail . . but it COULD be slimmer.

It's a sawed-off version of the Massaro that I based the Leverletto on.
They simply made it with a shorter butt and blade. The original size is pretty slim.

I'm sure you'll love it, Jerry. I went for the new 6" "Mini Dominus". A very similar knife with the added Maltese style guards.

Aaaaagh . . Son oF a B******

Spent my money. . AND THEN I find out there is a mini Dominus maltese.
and it has a lanyard to boot. . .

I bought a regular size Dominus, ( which I wasn't too thrilled with, I thought it was looser than my Leverletto)
But this mini would have been cool in a boxed set.

(My fingers are too old to mangle knives, but I can still play with cardboard and velveteen cloth.)
