Othello Pic Lock
Not being a Stiletto guy I need some opinions on this one. It measures 8 1/8in overall 3 1/4in blade, scales are black bone with white grain, liners brass, swivel bolsters stainless. Tang has the Anton Wingen Jr Othello Head with Rostfre under, flip side is blank. Blade needs a complete refinish. I'm thinking kind of unusual for German builder making a Italian style knife. Whats your opinion??? It has a broken spring.

Re: Othello Pic Lock
Italian built- German import. But, appears to be a swivel bolster (?)

Here's a similar example of Italian for German import. We can see the Kissing Cranes/Germany on back, but that's it...

Re: Othello Pic Lock
Yes quite similar except yours has stampings on both sides where mine is blank on the front side, normal location of the seller. But all this is what perks the interest and enthusiasm of us all. Its looking like a good project for someone.

It was made in Italy for Othello. I have one just like it but with wood scales I bought in Germany in 1986.

Re: Othello Pic Lock
It's not a pick lock and the handles are horn, not bone.
Italian made.

It's always good to be corrected by the best. Horn, at least I didn't call it antler. Glad I said in the beginning I wasn't a stiletto guy.
