How is the swing guard sound on the big knives? I love the extra thwack on the 11" on down but always wanted to hear a big one. Would you be able to post a short video to include audio? Thanks, jackalope.

Mr. Jason does indeed have an amazing collection. Not long ago I was able to barter a sweet diamond button honey horn from him. And it remains one of my "top shelf" pieces within my nascent collection.

At the time he also had available, but I was too late, a baby blue burled batwing. I asked him if it had been re-scaled or came that way from AGA. He believed it was born that way.

Which brings me to my question, and this post, does anybody track the scale offerings on different models? I often check 3K for info on certain knives but they don't keep a full catalog of sold knives online. Usually it's just the more recent stuff when there's no inventory available that they'll have info available for. I'd have to think that there would be somebody who'd have a catalog of all offerings from a given maker, with info like type, scales, length, grind, etc. Does anyone know of such a reference? If, for instance, I google "AGA burl batwing", you don't really turn much up outside of various more common batwings in horn or such.

I've also become interested in tang stamps and so forth. Is there a "bible" to be found with pics and history for Italian tang stamps? I know about the few reference books out there such as "Switchblades of Italy", but is there not a more comprehensive detail available?

Lastly, I can't seem to find a picture, for example, of a BV&F tang tamp that's focused on the tang stamp, clear and close-up. I've found some postings of these knives but not one that's focused on just the stamp. There was a real good picture here of a lowercase b over Rostfrei that I've found but maybe I missed one focused on the BV&F stamp, outside of Panzerfaust's 2011 post where it's really now focused on the stamp. I know that Stiletto-Italian is a good source for tang stamp pics, maybe the best I've found. Just curious if I missing anything in my research.

Thus a request, if anyone has a BV&F stiletto and can post some pics, with close-ups of the stamp, I'd really appreciate it. Also, where would a good source be to find one to purchase. I've kept an eye on places like Latham's, and of course AAPK and SD, but is there any other resource I should watch for such knives to be traded? I'm sure I could have some fishing luck on FB but I just want to be sure I'm looking at all the right places.

Peace.
