Do you see the hole in the liner near the ring? The opposite liner has a corresponding pin. Once you swing them together you have to spread the liners ever so slightly to clear and then the pin pops in the hole. Not the most practical knife but it has the wow factor anyway.

Thanks, I get it now. When you open it, do you have to kind of pry the end parts apart a little (like one going up and one going down) before they can swing to the sides?
