New Leverlock
Just couldn't resist this AIK special . Beautiful oversized lever lock with fossilized walrus ivory scales , tried to capture the light caramel color on top. As expected from AIK very nice file work and craftsmanship , Gonna have to make some room up front in display case for this one .

Re: New Leverlock
Oh, I do really like this one! AIK does do nice custom work. Are the top bolsters brass? (My laptop doesn't provide crisp pics, (no matter how I try to adjust settings). I recently read that these "Bird's Beak" or "Powder Horn" leverlocks that have the brass bolsters with the brass lever are the "older" models (1970?). I guess the newer ones with brass bolsters have the steel lever. Regardless, it's a beauty!

Thanks guys, yes the bolster and lever are brass on this one, my photography skills aren't the greatest with my phone, i do believe it is an older model .

Re: New Leverlock
Are they usually bolsterless on the bottom? I like no bolsters on the bottom especially with those scales.JulesVane wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 1:06 am Oh, I do really like this one! That's a nice one! The ivory scales really set it off.

The stock models, at least those I have seen and own do have bottom bolsters.

Gorgeous knife! Fabulous addition to your collection! Kudos!
Mistakes are like knives. They can help us or they can hurt us. It all depends on whether we grab ‘em by the handle or by the blade.
Re: New Leverlock
Thanks for checking it out guys , this is the only one I've seen without bottom bolster, other than the 8" version that was listed at the same time this 9 1/2" er was . Still looking for a 9 1/2" with blade grind in attachment
