The knife was an old Utica toothpick I got in a lot off ebay and converted..
The Utica blade was sharpened down to nothing so I put one of my Queen blades on. I used the last of my Christmas tree celluloid . Man its beautiful stuff !
I used that toothpick because I liked the long bottom bolsters. Bill has been way more than helpful over the years. From the first heat treating lesson he put on knife 101 so I could make a spring for an old Hammerbrand toothpick to bailing me out when I ruined a pearl scaled Aeriel I had no business trying to repair.
And the thousand questions and emails in between. Thanks Mickey!

About 20 years ago when I first began collecting switchblades a long-term collector told me "you will meet the nicest people in our hobby". This is an example on 2 fronts:

As long as I have been collecting Bill has been generous with his time, freely willing to share his expertise with anyone who asks

Stagnut, who no doubt had considerable time invested in a one of a kind switchblade, chose to gift it to Bill as a thank you for his advice
