Re: Renzo Pascotto Collection
I have a couple RP's, and you are right, same as some AGA's. Seems the RP's usually have superior build quality and scales.

Re: Renzo Pascotto Collection
That can be true but not always. As RP gets to take his pick, the ones with better scales would be chosen, but if the number of especially good scales exceeds his allotment, then those go over to AGA. His build quality rarely allows for less than stellar pieces. If AGA builds some of the run using RP's parts, then you could get less than perfectly assembled pieces. The only way to figure all this out is to see the job sheets for each run detailing who built what using what parts, etc, etc. but such info is not available.
Re: Renzo Pascotto Collection
As Mr. natcherly stated, Renzo Pascotto IS looking forward to full retirement. At 81 years old, I can't imagine many more new pieces in the works. I urge anyone with any interest in this modern master, to grab 'em while you can. If you think of it this way, from the Campolin and Beltrame family of modern makers, Renzo Pascotto will be the future premium of vintage. Today's modern...tomorrow's best of this time period.

Thanks! As far as modern ITALIAN makers, I can't think of a better builder. Now...American makers, we have a few greats as well.picklocksrock wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2019 4:20 pm I like those a lot, that’s an amazing grail collection.
