S.M. Co Repair & Restoration

Post by portlandmike »

Here are before and after pictures of my S.M. Co knife restored by Bill. It is an amazing transformation. The blade was in bad shape and peeking a little bit. The horn had a few bad bugbites and the locking pin was completely sheared off. You can see for yourself how well the repairs turned out... Thank you Bill

Great job Bill and congrats Mike, it’s beautiful! I had no idea that the aged color of horn could come back to life like that. Amazing!

Laser welding.
BTW- the holes aren't actually stretched, they are worn.

Bill, Do you have any horn like that laying around? Can't believe the before and after of the horn. Is that buffalo or cow horn. It is really pretty.

Glad everyone likes the work.
Thom- I have premium horn here. Very little of it looks like 1950s horn. It's cow horn.
