Picked up a nice Ethan recently... I love that flat short safety.

GREAT find Mike! Sure don't see many of those! Congrats! So, that's another one they used brass for the pivot pin instead of steel. What a beauty!

Wow , great score! I really like that the year is stamped on tang , not sure if I've ever seen that

What does that book in the background say about this stamp?

That one looks almost identical to an IMCO that I own. I think Ethan 1953 was a New York City import and that NYC companies stopped importing picklocks in 1953?

Thats a great Ethan you have found.I have never seen a date marked example before either

Lovely looking knife sleek ,lines and great horn and that safety is just cool ,almost as big as the button.

I have 4. All were stamped 1953.
