Brass knuckle knife
This is pretty much the same shape as regular brass knuckles with a square handle. It is 3/8" thick. The rocker is an English rocker that is flush with the scale. In the side shot it looks like the front sticks up a little but that is because the spring tip is right at the sear when the blade is open. I always wondered why so many knuckle knives have the blade facing the other way. Now I understand...it is hard to close the blade with the knuckles in the way. But I think it is still cooler to have the blade facing the right way when your hand is in it.

Great Job, I would hate to be on the receiving end of that!
Re: Brass knuckle knife
Well done , that's quite a hunk of brass
Re: Brass knuckle knife
Love that Jeremy
Bet it wasn't an easy project aswell.
Looks like something that would pop up in a film and I love the ring pull release and English rocker .
Cool knife mate ,I love yhe knuckle knives from ww1 by AuLion and the BC41 commando knives etc ..... but knuckle switchblades even better.

Nice to see some imaginative approaches to this concept. Your project gives me inspiration for one of my own, brass knuckles mated with an OTF such as the Lightning. That would eliminate the Cigar Cutter/ Finger Shortener concern. Not to get some thick sheets of brass.

I just Super Glue all the parts together.sammy the blade wrote:Be interesting to see how you attach them together.
Lol, jk. If you look at the second pic, you can see the faint outline of some brass pins. The backspring pin is almost invisible but you can see the pivot and two pins on the bottom.

I mean the brass knuckles and the lightning. I was thinking maybe some duct tape, I just don't see glue holding but you never know.

Re: Brass knuckle knife
I see what you meant now. Ideally, you would take the blade, tracks and springs out of the handle part of the OTF and then make the two brass parts into the new handle. Then a slot would be cut for the slide button (the base of the button would have to be extended.sammy the blade wrote:I mean the brass knuckles and the lightning. It would be difficult but not impossible.

This is the approach I was envisioning. Probably need a mill to do it.JimBrown257 wrote:I see what you meant now. Re: Brass knuckle knife
That's ambitious but it could probably be done. How thick do you think the blade/tracks part of an OTF would be?
