Large Hubertus - Double Bladed

Post by texans123 »

Hi Gents -
Recently read another post about large Hubertus autos, and did not want to hijack that thread, so starting a new one. Here is a 10" with wooden handles and is a two blade example. Very nice smooth action and overall excellent quality. An old Blade Auction purchase about 16 years ago.
Cheers

Thank you sir. One of my favorites. It was sold as a "used" knife, but doesn't have many miles on it.

That's a biggin'! Nice! Why do some Hubertus say Germany and some W. Germany? Just different factory locations?

I think it is an older one. I have a smaller Hubertus that I bought in the early 1990's, well worn and I used it a lot, that is also stamped W. Germany.

Nice one! I have seen them before. W Germany is on the older ones when West Germany was still the free part of the country ans East was not free !!! After the wall was down they were all Germany. The W Germany ones were far better then the ones that followed.....
