Very nice! How do you like the coil spring action on the humpback?

Thanks!

It’s quite anemic, not much power, but my knives live behind glass as art and only rarely get handled, so it doesn’t bother me too much.

I love the humpback. I'd like to have one just like it with a clip-point D2 steel blade. Carrying that hidden while traveling would help prepare you any urban/rural setting. (I currently use a Sog Spec Auto II for this purpose).

I’m not sure if you have ever handled one of these humpbacks, but I’d say they are not suitable for any real use other than collecting and maybe some light opening of the occasion letter or box. Mine is just for collection purposes only. These knives have a coil spring, and it is not very robust in my opinion. This is probably my weakest and slowest opening switchblade. Just wanted to let you know, so you could keep that in mind if you decided to take the plunge.

Best,

Jay

I hate to agree but I do. The couple that I have are pleasing to look at but...don't operate real well. I remember when he was first trying to make some humpbacks and the troubles that he was having. They aren't quite like the older humpbacks that they were trying to mimic.
