Don't know a lot about B. Svoboda, but looking to start digging into older posts. Nice little 8" picklock.

Re: '50's B. Svoboda Picklock-Kriss
Thank you all! One amazing thing I find in this hobby is how much these knives have been loved and taken care of for so many years. If a kid were given a knife today, I can only wonder what it will look like in 65 years.Corvus wrote:Beautiful! Congrats on a great find!

Chris
BSvoboda knives imported by the Ring cutlery Co.in California and can be seen marked with either B.Svoboda or Ring Cutlery .B.Svoboda.
You probably found this bit of info yourself if not hope it leads to other searches for you mate.
Orangeboy,BillD etc and other longtime collectors who research the catalogues sales sheets and history will tell you more.
Great old knife

Appears to be like new from the pictures. That one probably set you back a few.

Sammy...it appears that they all do anymore. I started collecting and was happy with the Beltrame family pieces. Then, more quality and the vintage pieces took over my mind AND my wallet. It's one heck of a hobby, and I still love them all!sammy the blade wrote:Appears to be like new from the pictures. That one probably set you back a few.
