Hi Gents -
Here is a 10" lever-lock I've had for some years. Nice scales, locks up tight and fires hard. One of the favorite Hubertus examples I have.

Re: 10" Hubertus Buffalo Horn
Thanks guys. A Blade Auction pickup from about 15 years ago. There was a seller that always had nice Hubertus for sale. I like the pieces without the nail nick myself.
On another note, the last Hubertus I bought say 5-6 years ago was, in my opinion, not of the same quality, fit and finish. After I received it I even asked the seller if it was a "real" Hubertus. Let's just say that he became very defensive. Any other collectors have a similar experience or insight etc.?

I remember a topic on these newer build hubies a while back.
If I remember correctly even Bill warned of their poor construction and the one pictured on the topic looked like a chinese clone.
I have seen similar for sale in Germany so keep your good hubies like that nice one above as it seems newer examples leave a lot to be desired.
Hope your well

Interesting Ian, and thanks. I'll look around for some discussions on this topic. The knife is a nice one, but just "not the same" when compared to the older pieces.

This thread sounds like the one you reference. My knife has bolsters and lever very similar. I'll pull it out and get some pics soon. Cheers.gravknife wrote:texans123
