Older 8" Italian Swingers

Post by texans123 »

A couple of my favorites from the BA days some years back. Very well made with nice horn and excellent, hard snap and tight lock up. I think these are 1960's or perhaps early 1970's.

Very nice indeed! I really like the small swinguards.

Thanks guys. These used to come up for sale fairly often on Blade Auction way back when, but I don't see them so much these days.

...lol, no, you certainly don't see them for sale too often (or I'd have one lol).

Very true JV...lol. Someone must have found a hoard of them as they were around for awhile, and I recall a few even had the shipping boxes. I also picked up two 9" and on 11". I post them up as well one day. I think I bought them all from the same guy. He had an Italian name and live in New York City...no joke.

That was Bob T from Brooklyn. He still sells on Ebay and Shaperdeals. He seems to have an endless supply.....HE was a letter carrier and moved upstate NY a few years back....

Yes, several of them did come from Bob T. He always had nice pieces for fair prices.

Here are the 9" swingers that I bought around the same period as the 8" pieces. Both of these fire extremely hard, in fact, some of the hardest firing older autos I have.

Those have the brass safety caps. I've only seen a few like that.
