Weekend gun show find

Post by hearandgone »

I visited a local gun show this last weekend and ran across this 11” Latama flat guard in obvious used but not bad condition. Everything works very well but there is a name (previous owner I suppose) neatly engraved on the back spring.

Wow....What an Amazing Score!!

I love hearing stories like this.

I can only imagine your pulse rate when you discovered this Beauty! :o

And of course you know exactly how rare and valuable these 28cm flatguards are.

Good for you, Charles! It couldn't have gone to a better home! :D

Thanks for sharing!

Nope. it says" If found please return to Ron, his grandfathers uncles cousin won the war with it and it must go back to him ( continued on inner spring) and that's a fact". Read your history.

What a beautiful rare knife and great find 8) 8) 8)
It's in great condition has great lines ,killer horn and it just oozes quality ..
What will you do ....leave it alone ,the original patination and wear of 60 years or have it brought back to as near new ?

All the best

I'll leave it as it is. If it doesn't wipe off with a little oil I leave it on the knife.
