Hello all at TB
Thought id post this knife to show an idea for scale material and also to ask if anyone has any japanese or chinese switchblades ,that are not clones or copies of others hard work .
This is a late victorian japanese razor and its been restored .
Its by one og their renowned makers ,and has the same sharpness and folded high carbon steel as the swords. Its scary sharp i mean hair splitting sharp.
I particularly like the laquer handle and its colour ,it would look good as a scale material on a japanese inspired switchblade ,something i would love to see on the lines of a small tanto, with split tsuba and all the decor of my swords .
Has anyone any japanese sword inspired switchblades they can share ,id love to see them.
Thanks
Ian

I can imagine it is both effective and safe, or they wouldn't use it. I'd like to see it in action.
