Not a transitional knife.
The stamp is obviously a German importer's marking.
I would say the knife is a 1970s model, as the bolsters and button are nickel plated.

Now I'm mad (that I didn't recognize the stamp) I am familiar with E&F Horster but just didn't tie it in with a stiletto type knife.
They have been around many years and made daggers, swords and bayonets for the German military.

Your true connoisseurs of vintage German cutlery would consider E&F Horster to be the epitome of German steel.
