I am not positive but i think this could be a japanese shellpuller from the 50s 60s.
One was used in an undwerwater scene in Godzilla the movie.
It was discussed in a topic some time ago type in "Godzilla" and i believe the knife was panzerfausts.

Ian

Japanese. There are many variations. 1950s-1960s.
Notice the shell pullers would not actually work. These were copies of German knives, made with no actual understanding of the use.

There is something very wrong with the backspring. I would leave the knife open until it is repaired.

I think the kickspring is forcing the backspring to do that. I don't know why, but it can break the backspring.

On second thought- The backspring is bent even when the knife is open.
If it is just bent, I can probably fix it.
There is a very good chance that the backspring is broken at the pin hole.
I guess we'll see!
