A.G.A. Campolin picklock 10" 2016

Post by blademan »

First of all, having read some sad messages about long time members having passed away recently,
my condolences go out to the family &friends, wishing you strength & wisdom to make it through the hard times.

Having this said, i want to share with you my latest member of the family here, a 2016 A.G.A. Campolin 10" picklock
re-created from the 40's & 50"s picklock models from th every same company who made them back in the days:

It has some nice scales, massive bolsters, a huge backspring and opens with a distinguished "TWHACK" :)
Enjoy the pics.

Thats a beautiful looking knife.
I love that horn colour ,and the build quality looks excellent.
Wish i had one modern picklock by pascotto or campolin.
All the great qualities of old minus the flaws of time and use.
Great switch 8)

Thank you for your comment, can you imagine, a picklock from the 50's which still got to have it's break-in time. ;)

There are decent moderns if you know where to look and pay the price ... and aren't in one of the places with a monarch.

Are you in Tennessee, blademan?

Daves right blademan
I live in a switchblade take your chance at your peril country .
I love the modern builds like your Campolin and Daves ,Dons ,Johns and many other members here pascottos and Campolins ,but i have been put off spending big due to 4 mishaps .
I must however eventually buy one of these as im always facing condition issues and want at least a few unused keepers in my collection.
I love it when these knives are posted it shows me the build quality killer horn and condition of these newer knives and i would like a few in the future.
Sorry for going off topic blademan but that knife you posted and other moderns posted here over the months that i have seen are simply stunners.

All the best
Ian

These knifes are handmade built with natural materials, so it's hard to find one that is 100% flawless, hot/cold environment can
also have an influence on these knifes, but they last long, long time.
I also had a knife that i wasn't completely happy with, i send it back and got another one, if you deal with the well known company's
mentioned here i'm sure you get the quality for what you've paid for.

I saw them on the 3Knives website. Absolutely awesome blademan. I'm still looking for a 13" Horn swedge. I live in the EU also and it's not a switchblade friendly environment here.

Hi all in my opinion these are the closest you will get to a 1950's picklock and the very best made from italy and they are made by the same company that has been making this style knife since 1947 , honestly you just dont get any better . if anyone is interested in buying one of these knives i have them in kriss, bayonet and my exclusive dagger blade , you can contact me at (bernief@accesstoledo.com) or see my auctions (FOLGORE KNIVES) at (WWW.BLADEBiD.COM) .
