Frank Beltrame Stiletto for German Market
Hello,
Here I present to you a Frank Beltrame stiletto with a German import blade length.
It was made for the company Linder (Germany).
It has buffalo horn handle scales. The blade is 8.5 cm long.
On the front side is "F.Lli Beltrame" "Made in Italy".
On the back is in German, Vertrieb Linder Inox.
It really is processed very well.
There are these stilettos still in Stag Horn and Olive Wood.
Greetings from Europe

Very nice! I have an Othello-marked stiletto with the short blade that I bought in Heidelberg when I visited Germany in 1986.

I love the horn
Here's mine made by Renzo Beltrame it's from the 70's. Three inch blade in a 5 inch handle. He used the same handle for a 9" stiletto.

I have got the Buffalo horn version of this and I am very disappointed, the push button and the back plate (the one with the lock) are not stainless steel so after only few days they got black.
Is there any of these Italian stilettos made of premium materials ?
Thanks to all

Sounds like you might have gotten a counterfeit. To the best of my knowledge FB's are all stainless construction.
Did you buy from a dealer or web site? If so, which one?

None of the Beltrame stilettos use stainless backsprings.
Carbon steel is a premium material. It requires rust protection.

Some people can rust carbon steel by being in the same room with it...

I've heard that people from all over the country send Dave Sause pieces of steel to breath on when they want them to appear aged.
