3rd (and last!) maltese-themed stiletto

Post by Bill DeShivs »

Here is the third of a series of three maltese-themed stilettos for a member here.
This one is a 9" and it goes with an 8" and an 11" that I did before.

Those are beautiful.

Is not having a bolster at the rear representative of a certain style of Italian stiletto, or is that your own creation?

I believe the green button stone is a peridot. The blue one is sapphire. The red one might be ruby or garnet.
No rear bolsters was a customer order.

Is that a ruby or a spinel in the button?

Howdy Bill,
Thanks for posting these pics. I remember when the 11" was first posted on the SD forums. The 9" matches so perfectly, and the horn is right nice!
I got to tell you, Mr. D, your work is never half-ass impressive! Don't get me wrong, I think SloJoe Walker has an amazing hand, but your custom work always blows me away!
Absolutley beautiful, sir 8) 8) 8)

Somehow, there never seems to the sameness in these knives that I might expect had I not simply marvelled at the craftsmanship so often.
I, unfortunately, am not so creative in my compliments. So: Gee, Mr. Bill, they sho' purdy!
