That's a mighty fine addition to the collection.

Nice score Jeff. I like the vintage appeal it has with the pitting and lack of shine.

Are you sure you want to restore it?

I'll let Bill decide when he see's it, he's the man with leverlocks, and his judgement is better than mine in these areas.

I have no shell pullers in my collection...NONE! But from what I have seen so far here on the board I think this old Hubie could very well be my favorite so far.
We all have that little "something" that strikes us or we have certain tastes in handle material etc.
What does it for me is the tang stamp and the fact it works great and has some great ageing and wear.
Super great find Jeff and I am jealous...this time I am not kidding,I truely am jealous
I'm sure MM saw this and couldn't sleep for two days.

Thanks Dave, I agree with you all around and I'm very lucky this time. :D I think Jim mentioned the years the Hubertus brand carried the tang stamps and you'll see them around.
Here it is between a vintage Solingen and a Weidmannsheil.

Thanks R it's good to hear from you. I and some others here would love some close ups of your Schlieper ASE.

I've only switched it twice but this knife functions perfectly and locks up deep closed and with no play open. Can you believe the difference?
It has a brand new backspring Bill made and a new solid n/s lever fully restored.

 Absolutely incredible!! Great job Bill! When I heard about the unfortunate mishap with the backspring, I didn't know what to say. Now I see it looking perfect and I still don't know what to say! That knife is a stunner. What an addition!! That's gotta be one of your new favorites. Congrats Jeff!!
