Burl / Jade 11 inch stiletto

Post by eastcoastsniper »

Image WOO-HOO Image ..... I had a rain day today and got to spend some quality time in the garage. I thought I'd try something different and make an unusual firing button.

This one is an 11 inch Italian with burgundy burlwood scales attached with 24k gold torx screws, brass bolsters, my (S) Sniper filework and a green jade firing button. I started out making a purple jade button, But, the "genuine" purple jade beads I bought from Hong Kong turned out to be painted/glazed clay balls

I had fun with this one. Hope you enjoy the pics

It's starting to look just like NY here. cloudy and rain every 4 hours. There is a coastal storm swirling along Virginia blowing rain in from the East.. very unusual.

Duncan, If I lived in NY, I'd have a LOT of time to make knives. I'd make my stilettos for 4 hours while it rained, Then take a 4 hour motorcycle ride while it was cloudy, Then drink lots of beer to help not think about the weather!!
