Abalone pearl 9"

Post by Jeff »

This is a great little knife. Everything is tight and solid on it.
It's #17 of 36 done by Frank B. in a limited run of abalony pearl scales. It's also filed. It's a great stiletto, I like it alot. Back of blade stamped LIMITED EDITION over 17/2009

Thanks guys,
Since abalone is my favorite dish over anything (even around $100 a plate around here) I guess this is a cool little pretty one that I'll have in there.
After getting rid of all my clones aside from the gifts it felt wrong not having a bunch of knives to switch open when I'm home. . :P
This is just another good one to hold onto I think.
Once again Bob is such a cool guy, 8) :!:

SWEET!!! Those scales are mesmerizing :) I can only imagine how difficult a knife like that is to make.

Hey Jeff, that is some awesome abalone. Didn't even know they came in the 9 inch size, first one I've seen. Do you know if there are other variations such as blade styles, bolsters and blades other than black? Also, can you say an approximate cost on those? Thanks.

Shiver,
The pictures I posted don't show it very well. They # to 36. They all carry the same factory file work. Bolsters are stainless. There is one still on the SD auction site available I think. I'm not sure what the # is but I know it is nice.
This is not an ad for SD it's just to show you picts and where you may find one.
