Re: Vintage Puma knives
I've had several Puma autos, each one could correctly be graded "Excellent Select" as if culled from the production line before receiving the Puma stamp. I once saw a picture of about 15-18 classic Hubertus Springers surrounding one SPRINGBOCK, that Puma was the prettiest Ritter in the case.
Re: Vintage Puma knives
kwackster - fantastic group of a variety of fine Pumas - thanks for sharing.
XBMX - did yours have the Puma etch on the blade or the stamp like Bills? Those with the etch are more recent Hubertus production as opposed to the one in Bills photo. There are also some fakes that have a Puma stamp and a bolster stamp as well.

Kwackster
Thanks for sharing these ,there are many here I didn't know existed .
Had a few Puma knives over the years and they are always quality .They were that nice I was scared to use them .
You have a great collection ,would love that larger Bowie related to crocodile Dundee, it's a beauty .The waidblatt is one I always wanted aswell but they fetch a hefty price nowadays as do most Pumas .
Interesting to read the descriptions and see what Puma had to offer .

Re: Vintage Puma knives
For people interested in vintage Puma knives, take a look at this German website:
https://www.pumahunter.de/
(most likely your browser can translate German text into English)
German website owner Ralf probably has the most complete vintage Puma collection in the world.
He is however always looking for elusive models still missing form his massive collection, and sometimes also has a few older Puma knives for sale.
I've dealt with him in the past (both selling & buying), and he is a very friendly & trustworthy guy.
Ralf reads & writes in English, and he can be contacted through his website.

Re: Vintage Puma knives
Love them. Only have 2 of the small cigars left. One gets mastodon bark, other fossil giraffe, filed of course. I tend to butcher those fine factory knives! And they are, fine right from the factory.
