A new-to-me knife (Old Timer)

Post by Franco45 »

This knife is new-to-me (an Old Timer folding hunter, made in USA, circa 1980s I'm guessing)

I can't see it either, guess you have to have some kind of host to post pictures here. I can't post pictures either but that might be a good thing.

How do I use an "off-site photo source" (and link to that photo via URL)? Such as PhotoBucket or similar? Never used off-site before.

Ok, guys, sorry for the delays. And thanks for the help.

I have found a fix, without using PhotoBucket, etc.

This is the actual knife: a Schrade Old Timer, folding hunter, circa 1980s. (I did not take the photos):

You cannot beat 1095 high carbon steel! Heh-heh. I found that out many years ago. I had an Old Timer Sharp Finger fixed blade that never, ever got dull. I used it and used it, but it never needed to visit the stone. At first, I couldn't figure out why. Then, somebody explained it to me...I carried that Sharp Finger on my side, every day, at a warehouse, cutting mostly boxes and twine. But then, the new manager told me that I could not carry that knife on my belt anymore. It seems that that lil' ol' blade made "certain front-office people" of the non-male persuasion kinda nervous, ya see...so I had to switch to carrying a Swiss Army Knife in-pocket...(*sigh*)...
