"No Name Style"

Post by JulesVane »

Hi all. Much like the Italian version of the Puma Medici that I never actually heard a style "name" of, comes this very recent acquisition. 7.75" (8"), Flat Grind, Ebony Wood, actual plastic insert Red Dot safety. Stamped Rostfrei over Import. I've seen a couple of this style. One with a bottom bolster, different pin set. One with the full acrylic scales, but no other Red Dots. Any input on age would be welcome, and thanks!

Really Bill? It's a pretty cool little piece that I certainly don't see all the time.

I always called those guardless Medics. I've never seen any other name for them. Based in what I've seen, the one you have, with the longer flat lock tab, is the more rare one.

Look at the inside of the button side liner, just "south" of the button.
Are there 3 dots there?

Bill, not sure how obvious those 3 dots should be, but with my glasses on and a flashlight, I just don't see them.

There were some that I marked, some that I didn't.
I'm pretty sure these weren't made with ebony handles.

I don't think I would have left that gap on the backspring.
