Re: Here we go again
Pretty cool project. Is this a stiletto shaped knife with coil spring? Really appreciate the step-by-step way you do these posts. A learning experience for us all.

Hey Tom.
Yup I'm using a coil spring, brass liners O1 steel for the blade and the bolsters. I want to blue the bolsters the buff them. I have some exotic hard wood for the handle, I hope it comes out ok. I will post as I go
Thanks for the encouragement

Gentelman:
Well I'm almost done, I have it pinned but not hammered. I changed from the steel bolsters to brass, the blade tempered nicely. I thought It was going to warp (phewwww). Now let me ask all y'all, the coil spring is a max power spring with more the enough power to snap the blade out but on this one I only get half the way out Damn any thoughts on the matter. I don't want the blade so loose it wobbles, let me know what y'all think

Re: Here we go again
Maybe the radius around the back of the blade is causing too much friction on the lock?
