How do you remove etching from knife blade?

How do you remove etching from knife blade?

I want to remove the words Top Lock and SpeedLock off my Boker knife blades. What is the best way to do this without damaging the blades. Anybody with experience in doing this? Please help.

if its just laser, i think that some fine sand paper(1000 grit or so) will probably get it off and still keep your nice finish
