Another US knife co gone the end of an era...

Its my understanding the Imperial Schrade knife Co. Closed it's doors on July 30th
While I only collect their early autos It's shame to see one more knife company, close their doors especially one with such a long history... :(

I have had Schrade knives since I was in Scouts in the 1950's and got an Imperial scout knife. I had a neat old Imperial folding knife (a long fishing knife) that I carried everywhere when I was a kid. Lost it when I went into the Army.
Have 2 Schrades now, one just bought this morning that will never leave the box, and one I have had for over 20 years, an IXL lockback that will come out of retirement.

Goodbye Schrade. Hello, Chinese crap.
