Hi all!
Got a straight razor from an antique shop.
The price was next to nothing, so I don't believe it's worth much.
But I'd love to have a positive ID on the tang stamp and maker.
If anyone has a clue about age and country of origin as well, I'd be a happy viking.
Blade is hollow ground with a ridge as guide during stropping/honing
instead of the top of the blade itself being the guide.
Handle material: not sure. Normal plastic or bakelite.
Pictures:
Closeup of stamp.
Looks to me like JAMES ***MONI (JAMES HAMMONI? JAMES HAMMOND? JAMES HAMMON 1?)
The whole thing.
Thanks in advance!
