Opinion(s) wanted on the Maniago m/a stiletto

Post by Blood_drinker »

This look's like my next choice on payday ; I remember Delta Z
bought'em in ( until they went outta business  ) But MKM still
has them in black anodized ( yeah, I know, they can be had stateside
for $65 on some sites, but only in silver ; I'm a basic black
type ) So what's your opinion of this one? Any owner's?

Edit : The full pathway wouldn't work, so use the above one & pull down
black anodized, then hit "update" below it to show it in black.

The blade is marked Maserin. I've no experience of this model but every Maserin knife I've had came sharp, with good fit and ergonomic in the hand.

Barnabus is out of business? All his knives even though tactical were made in Italy by FOX. I won an Executive Edge about 5 years ago on BF. It came in a solid rosewood box with a secret latch and its serial number is 0 it being the first one made (So I was told) At the time the regular ones were about $129 or so.Anyway you might try looking for Fox on google and find that knife even cheaper unless there wholesale only.

I bought a couple of the MKM stilettos when they first came out. Though well made, they just don't "do it" for me.

Blood, we must think alike. Once again, I have that exact knife (though I did get mine in silver). For awhile it was my every day carry. Pretty solid knife. Was able to flick the blade out with the thumb stud about 9 out of 10 times. Very good feel to it. Was not as sharp as it coulda been out of the box so I did touch it up a little with a stone. The only problem I ever had with it was the pocket clip. Mine "lost" one of the little screws that hold the clip on. I hadn't even noticed it was loose til it was gone. I still carried it until a second screw disappeared. This is the only time thats happened to me with a clip. I've had em loosen before, but usually catch it before the screws fall out. Anyway, I did find some substitutes and epoxied them into place but it was a bit of a hassle. This knife, the Ti Lite, and the Hen and Rooster stiletto get rotated in carry, but in my opinion, the Hen and Rooster is the best based strictly on function. Still, its definately a knife worth owning.

Shiver -

We must come fro mthe same "school" ( of thought ) I had
the Ti Lite, which I passed on to a friend. I also have the
Hen & Rooster in black w/ bayonet blade ; it took a little working
in, but IMO, is a better deal than the Ti Lite. eknifeworks.com
still has'em in stock for $29.95 -

http://www.eKnifeworks.com

Enter "stiletto" or "Hen & Rooster stiletto" into the search engine
in the upper right hand corner of the page.

( BTW - a Kriss model would be nice  )

I might be going for a spear point in blue or black myself!
Too bad they get the "lack of press" they do! Hen & Rooster
does a good job!

Partial serrations would be nice, as well as a shiny finish.

Better get'em while eknifeworks.com has'em in stock!!!
